Sociodrama: The Therapeutic Spiral Model and Conflict Resolution.

This 5 day course teaches how to use the strength-based model of TSM
to treat traumatized communities. Using the Action Against Trauma
manual for Community Workers that will be published in the next month
by the U. of Virginia, we will explore how to take therapy
interventions and use them in a community setting. You will learn
how to do conflict resolution through sociodrama and other community
interventions.

This summer's institute will focus on applications with exceptional
children and adolescents (including autistic spectrum disorders,
learning disabilities, ADHD, communication disorder, pphysical
disabilities, mental and emotional disorders, and gifted) and with
victims and perpetrators of violence and abuse. Applications will
address integration of a variety of media--art, movement, music,
drama, poetry-- that apply across treatment contexts.
Plus! Earn 30 continuing education hours while learning about
applications of creative arts in counseling and networking with
other like-minded professionals.
The institute is held on the beautiful campus of Wake Forest
University. This year we will hold all classes in the inviting
community spaces of Luter Residence Hall, where you may also choose
