IAGP PSYCHODRAMA SECTION REPORT

(August 2007/February 2008)

The IAGP Psychodrama Section has focused on 6 main Networking domains:

1. The IAGP Psychodrama Announcement List, created by Sue Daniel and
Peter Kellermann, has around 450 members and has been very active in
promoting announcements in new Psychodrama Conferences and all sort of
didactic resources in Psychodrama all over the World (
<
http://www.iagp.com/lists/psychodramalistinfo.htm>
http://www.iagp.com/lists/psychodramalistinfo.htm ). We particularly thank
the active cooperation from Adam Blatner, always keen and updated with
international news, and Grouptalk (US Psychodrama Internet Discussion List -
<
http://grouptalkweb.org/mailman/listinfo/list_grouptalkweb.org>
http://grouptalkweb.org/mailman/listinfo/list_grouptalkweb.org).

2. The IAGP Psychodrama Section has been very active in promoting the

dialogue with Michael Wieser, Greta Leutz, Jorge Burmeister, Gabriela Moita,
Marlene Marra and many others, looking for solutions for the future Moreno
Museum in Bad Voslau, Austria, where J.L. Moreno, Co- Founder of IAGP lived
and wrote the first book ( <

3. The IAGP PD Section has been cooperating with PhD Micael Wieser

-Austria and Gabriela Moita -Portugal ( within IAGP /FEPTO, now President

Jutta Furst from Austria) in collecting all and the Scientific Research all
over the world in Psychodrama ( <

new one ( <

4. The IAGP Psychodrama Section has been very active in the Scientific

Program Committees of all the recent and future IAGP Conferences (S.Paulo,
Barcelona and Rome) and also working for a good cooperation in the Task
Force of the IAGP 5 Group Sections (Groupanalysis, Transcultural,
Organizational, Family Therapy and Psychodrama) to prepare joint and
integrated presentations from all the Group Approaches represented in IAGP,
such as the one presented in the IAGP/SEPTG Mediterranean Conference in
Barcelona ( <
http://www.medconf2008.com/> http://www.medconf2008.com <
<
http://www.medconf2008.com/> http://www.medconf2008.com/> ). This seams
essential since it is the actual purpose of IAGP: Bring the group aproaches
together , to help the World.

5. The IAGP Psychodrama Section created the networking necessary to

edit the international book (August 2007), with 25 authors from all over the
world, called "Psychodrama : Advances in Theory and Practice" by Routledge
integrated in Academic Collection for University Students of Advanced Theory
in Therapy by Keith Tudor . This book already sold near 2000 copies all over
the world and has received very good critic reviews.

6. The Psychodrama Section organized in November 2007 in Lisbon the I

International Sociodrama Conference with the title "Transparent Looks:

Sociodrama applications in Education, Organizations and Community" in
Lisbon, where the President Elect of IAGP,Jorge Burmeister (Spain), was a
Keynote Speaker and also the President of FEPTO (Federation of European
Psychodrama Training Organizations), Judith Tsezary (Sweden), among many
other presenters like Peter Felix Kellerman (Israel), Ron Wiener (UK), Pablo
Alvarez (Spain), Yvette Datner (Brazil), Chiara Marino (Italy),
Martinez-Bouquet (Argentina), Jeannie Burger (USA), Mark Wentworth
(UK/Portugal), Manuela Maciel, Gabriela Moita, Luzia Lima, Teresa Roque,
Micaela Ramos, Ana Caetano , Margarida Barros ( all from Portugal) from 12
different countries of Europe, Africa,North and South America.. In this
First International Sociodrama Congress 150 people (from 12 countries!)
attended and it was organized by a volunteer group of around 7 Directors of
Sociodrama trained by SPP /Portugal (www.sociedadeportuguesapsicodrama.com).

The II International Sociodrama Congress will be in a ship from
Stocholm,Sweden to Helsinky,Finland , with the theme "The Collective Shadow
of Society", March 6-9 2009, Stockholm. This conference fee (around 350

euros) includes also accommodation, food and stay in the ship and also one
night in Helsinky, leaving and arriving at Stockholm, Sweden. It has already
confirmed presentations and workshops from Eva Roine and Eva Falstrom
(Sweden), Jorge Burmeister,Mark Wentworth, Manuela Maciel, Luzia Lima,Chiara
de Marino, Marlene Marra, Monica Zuretti, Peter Kellerman and many others.

These INTERNational Sociodrama Congresses have quite accessible prices since
their aim is also for students and people who work with socially
disadvantaged people.

You may check the photos, program, films of past and next congress at the
site ( <

The importance of the topic of Sociodrama has been quite evident in all the
world by the 9 Conferences already scheduled for this year of 2008 around
the theme of Sociodrama or Conflict Resolution or Sociatry (the ultimate
vision of J.L. Moreno for Psychodrama and IAGP).

Respectfully submitted
