Access your personal health records through my HealtheVet an online portal at myhealth.va.gov. This system is designed for veterans, active-duty servicemembers, their dependents and caregivers. Make informed decisions regarding your healthcare using opportunities and tools provided by My HealtheVet and your healthcare team.
Each user’s account type will provide specific features based on user profile. Basic accounts allow all users to view their self entered information. However, VA patients with myhealth.va.gov accounts can upgrade to an advanced or premium version. More information is available on what type of account you can or should have.
Some great features that are available to veterans with a premium account include an option called VA notes. This option are notes that your healthcare team records during any hospital stays or doctors appointments. Members can also access VA immunization records and view more detailed lab reports and a list of your current medical issues. Premium account options are available on top of the ability to request prescription refills, VA appointments and secure messaging.
To manage your healthcare online if you’re already a member, locate the blue button titled “enter here” to gain access to your account. Upon arriving on the member login page, simply use your user ID and password to login and gain access to your account. However, if you are not yet registered you will need to proceed through the first time registration process. If you enrolled at a VA facility, make sure that you check the “VA patient” option and include your full name, your date of birth, Social Security number and gender.
