How to Create an Account on MyMathLab
There are two types of accounts that you can create on the portal: student and educator. If you want to register as a student, please go through the following steps:
- Use the green ‘Student’ button to get to the proper page. This is located on the right hand side of the portal.
- You are going to need 3 things to register: email, course ID and access code/credit card. If you have all these, please use the button that says ‘Ok! Register now’ to proceed.
- On the next page, type in your course ID on the space provided then use the ‘Continue’ button to proceed. Go through the remaining steps to complete the registration process and start enjoying your student My Math Lab account.
Signing up for an ‘Educator’ account has similar steps as the ones mentioned above, just go through the instructions and you’ll successfully create your account in no time. If you need further assistance, use the ‘Contact Us’ link to get support.
From there, you will be asked to indicate if you are an educator or a student. Choose which one applies to you so that MathLab can provide you with the proper support resources.
You may have been provided with a My Math Lab account activation code by your professor or have purchased one from a supporting retailer or your school’s textbook store. You may have even purchased a course textbook and it may have come with a My Math Lab Account.
If you are having issues creating your MyMath Lab account for the first time because it says that your activation code has already been used, there may be several reasons for this, but the reason for many students is that they purchase a used textbook, expecting it to come with a My Math Lab code, and discover that the code has already been used by the previous owner of the book. Ask your professor if you are required to have the program for a course.
